Two Bells Tavern, Seattle
By Dan Larsen, for SeattleInsider.com
Originally published by Cox Interactive Media
In a neighborhood that is
slowly having casual and relaxing hangouts squeezed out by a yuppie
vice-grip, Two Bells thrives. A step above a dive, this small
and simple bar is always busy. The catch? Snappy banter, a solid,
U-shaped bar, no pretension and a respectable selection of
appetizers and quick grub to soak up the booze. Their burger --
little more than a fat doorstop of tasty beef and thick melted
cheese -- is alone worth a visit.
When the weather permits, there is an outdoor -- albeit very
urban-outdoor -- section in the back. Great for secluded
get-togethers away from the crowds in the bar and
restaurant.
