Hit It Here Cafe at Safeco Field, Seattle
By Dan Larsen, for SeattleInsider.com
Originally published by Cox Interactive Media

For a sterling view of SoDo's biggest attraction combined with decent culinary fare, flowing drinks and a lively atmosphere, the Hit It Here Cafe inside Safeco Field is one of the neighborhood's best destinations. With an expansive view along the first base line, it offers a food-and-fastballs experience that's more comfortable and satisfying than a lot of the ballpark's seats and food vendors.

Expect to pay dearly for both the view -- the drinks, salads, burgers, pastas and other standard but decent fare come at a noticeable premium -- and the reservation fee ($20), but unless you're a season ticket holder, player's wife or celebrity, this is one of the best places in the ballpark to catch a game.

To offset some of the costs, skip the reservation fee, get into the ballpark on a bleacher seat ticket ($6), turn up early and head straight up to the cafe. You might have to line up for a while without a reservation and you'll have to keep the drinks or food coming throughout the game (there's a $15 minimum), but at least you'll get more than just a seat for you money.

The Hit It Here Cafe is located on the Club level in the right outfield.
